Council Motion 25: Proposal to open HRMP channels between Centrifuge and Statemint + Moonbeam + Acala (resubmission 2)

Referendum 10 (Council Motion 24) was sucessfully activated on Centrifuge at block 1257060. The XCM sent to Polkadot to batching HRMP init channel requests has failed at block 12076308, this time with a MaxWeightInvalid error.

The issue was identified and addressed by @nuno and you can find the explanation here .

The last referenda was activated on block #1,257,060 and succeeded on Centrifuge. However, for the second time the XCM sent to Polkadot to batching hrmp init channel requests with Statemint, Moonbeam, and Acala has failed on block #12,076,308 , this time with a MaxWeightInvalid error.

This error means that the require_weight_at_most that I had specified in the Transact instruction of the XCM message was too low to cover for the weight costs associated with executing the batch described above.

A new motion (Council Motion 25) has therefore been submitted.

The governance process for this proposal will be as follows:

1. Create Council Motion 25 with pre-image hash 0xdc4ebe26e5131c30b214340d4710c119f50155c1ada855c1ff81efab243d7376
2. Once the motion has passed, there will be a public referendum (Referendum 11) that all CFG token holders can vote on. The voting period will be 3,600 blocks (~12 hours with an average block time of 12 seconds). The voting window has been set to half of what it is was in Referendum 9 + 10, given the proposal(s) already passed twice in the on-chain vote

Referendum 11 is now open for all CFG token holders to vote on. You can vote on the referendum either on Subsquare or in the portal.

Good news! The motion has been executed on block #1,281,810 on Centrifuge and on block #12127326 on the Polkadot relaychain

As explained previously, the next steps now involve waiting for Moonbeam’s, Statemint’s, and Acala’s accept+init requests which we follow with a final accept call.
