The Centrifuge council has proposed a motion for Runtime Upgrade 1007 on Centrifuge. The details of the upgrade can be found in this post.

The steps for the process will be as follows:

  1. Create pre-image of call parachainSystem.authorizeUpgrade with hash from release

  1. Council proposes democracy.externalProposeMajority (Council motion) using the hash from the pre-image above

  1. If the motion above passes, the council will propose a democracy.fastrack (Council motion) so the upgrade can be enacted shortly after the public referendum ends (if it passes)

  1. Public referendum will be available for all CFG token holders to vote on. The voting period will be 28,800 blocks (~4 days with an average block time of 12 seconds)

This post will be updated as we proceed through the steps.

Remember, that you don’t lose your CFG by voting on referenda - they are just locked for the duration of the vote. After that, they will be available for transfer again. You can make your vote count for more by voting with conviction which means that you can vote with up to 6X the amount of tokens you have, by locking them for a longer period of time.

Council motion 11 has passed. Council motion 12 to fast track it is now open and being voted on by the council.

As soon as Council motion 12 has passed, the last step will be a referendum vote where all token holders can vote with their CFG.
