Is Solidity useful to develop on Centrifuge Chain?

Hello, I have basic knowledges of Solidity programming and the Ethereum ecosystem, could we use Solidity to write smart contracts on the Centrifuge Chain? If so what are the differences in the setup?

Isn’t Centrifuge built on the Substrate framework which uses the Rust programming language?
