Today, we announce that Web3 Foundation, the long-standing institution known for stewarding Polkadot, will invest part of its treasury into real-world assets via Centrifuge, beginning with a $1M pilot investment. This initiative is supported by Web3 Foundation as part of its strategic mission to promote Web3 projects through funding, advocacy and collaboration.
This partnership showcases Web3 Foundation’s commitment to bringing real-world assets (RWAs) onchain as the demand and narrative for RWAs has become white hot. The investment will be made into Anemoy’s upcoming pool of US Treasury Bills on Centrifuge.
