Late to the migration party

Hi everyone,

I’m a long-time CFG holder and recently restored access to my wallet, where my balance shows as legacy CFG on the Centrifuge parachain (now labelled [OLD]).

I understand the official CFG → ERC-20 migration window closed on Dec 3rd, and I’ve unfortunately realised this just after the deadline. I still fully control the legacy address and can sign messages if needed — I’m just unsure what the correct next step is now that the self-service migration UI is no longer available.

Could anyone from the community or team advise on the recommended path for late migration of legacy CFG, or who best to contact to handle this case?

Really appreciate any guidance,

I missed the deadline too. Would love some help to migrate my tokens.

Same for me. I’m fine with semi-manual migration, ie without UI, by supplying some extrinsics / calling smart contracts myself.

Same for me. There should be a solution I still have my cfg and don’t agree loosing it just because I didn’t check the news. There is no reason why the migration should last only a few months. please provide a solution.

Same, missed the deadline. Please open up the migration pathway again. See no reason to limit it?

Good day,

Unfortunately, the migration window has already closed, and it is no longer possible to complete the process.

The first communication regarding the migration from Polkadot to EVM was shared in February 2025 through CP141. Following community discussion, a Community Call, and an off‑chain vote, CFG token holders approved the migration.

As defined in CP149, the migration window opened on 20 May 2025 and remained available until 30 November 2025. This provided users with a migration period of more than six months. The deadline was extended several times to ensure that all users had sufficient time to complete the process.

Throughout the entire period, announcements and reminders were shared across all official channels, including the website, Discord, Telegram, and Twitter. Weekly notifications were issued to keep the community informed of the approaching deadline.

The migration from Polkadot (Substrate) to EVM (Ethereum) represents a significant milestone for the protocol. As communicated, the Substrate chain is no longer supported following the end of the migration window.

Thanks for explaining how we got here. Do you also have an explanation for how to get our tokens migrated in the present? I assume there must be a way for us to get what is rightfully ours?

I have a Trust account with Coinbase.exchange. They told me that they were going to make thee exchange of WCFG for the now trading CFG. But they didn’t do it. Now they in essense won’t help me. Surely, Centrifuge can understand that while they notified exchanges to notify us, there were problems and miscommunications. Is there anyone at the CFG that can address this issue? At least open for a while so I can sell my WCFG. Then I can rebuy. But as it is, I am stuck and I can not afford to lose my tokens especially as I was following instructions. This is tantamount to theft.

I also missed the deadline didnt even realise there was one until today. There are a few people who probably have lots of tokens, and keeping track of them all 24/7 may be a little tricky. I think that opening up the bridge and keeping it open would be a really good thing for this team to do.

I have CFG holding in my NOVA wallet ( since 2023) iPhone and More in my KuCoin exchange ( these were purchase as early as 2025 December. I tried to transfer CFG coins @ KuCoin exchange today to my NOVA wallet address and NOVA address now invalid. Are all the CFG I accumulated since 2023 Lost in the NOVA wallet.

PS. There is an option coming up in NOVA iPhone wallet that I can swap (2023 purchased) CFG for xcCFG (moonbeam) or CFG (Hydration)

How I go about this issue? to protect coins insiede the NOVA wallet as well as in the Kucoin account

Same. Wrote a dedicated proposal. Migration extension is not something that can’t be done, the team just needs to make the call. One year is not enough for everyone to migrate. I wasn’t even emailed about it at all.

It’s like asking why the US government decided to retire the $2 bill and set a deadline to exchange it. Things change, projects evolve, improvements are made, updates roll out. Every step is taken to make things better.

This was announced back in May 2025 and reiterated multiple times across all social channels. Unfortunately, some people don’t follow announcements and end up missing the deadline. It’s unfortunate, but there’s not much that can be done at that point.

All due respect but your argument is weak and dismissive. The team did not allow investors to vote on the migration proposal. Un-migrated tokens is about 9-10% of your total supply, Centrifuge technically gracefully took them from investor’s pockets into their private treasury.

The team should’ve anticipated that some investors won’t be able to migrate on time.

This literally looks like fraud. You created an extremely tight deadline. You took investors un-migrated token’s put it into your pocket. And now you’re telling them - “goodbye, thanks for your time and money, sucks to be you”

I would expect something like this from any other company in the space but not yours. People who supported you don’t deserve that.

I’m not sure if you’re part of the core team or a hired moderator. But I want to hear from the chief team on this issue. Thanks.

I’m not part of the Centrifuge team, I’m an investor and community member who just follows the project closely. My previous reply wasn’t meant to be dismissive, so let me add some context.

Token migrations require deprecating old infra and coordinating with exchanges and DeFi protocols. Without a deadline, it’s impossible to sunset legacy systems and move forward. This is standard across the industry (Polygon MATIC → POL, Optimism OP redeployment, etc…)

Unmigrated tokens remain on the deprecated Centrifuge Chain, which is no longer maintained, they weren’t “taken into a treasury”.

The statement is incorrect. Both CP141 and CP149 were voted on by token holders. Each proposal followed the full governance process: posted as an RFC on the forum, discussed during the Governance Call, and only then submitted for a vote.

That information is incorrect.

As for the “extremely tight deadline,” the timeline shows otherwise:

  • CP141 was introduced roughly 11 months ago.
  • The migration window remained open for more than 6 months.
  • The deadline was extended following community requests.
  • From the initial RFC to the end of the migration, the entire process lasted approximately 11–12 months.

Every step from RFC publication, voting, governance discussions, and the start of the migration was communicated across all official channels.

Additionally, weekly reminders were shared on Telegram, Discord, and X to ensure visibility.
