We are writing to provide an update on the current status of Flowcarbon Nature Offsets Series 1.
We are happy to announce the Corazón Verde Del Chaco Project (the “Project”), the project currently underlying the Flowcarbon Nature Offsets Series 1 pool, has completed Verra Carbon Standard (“VCS”) validation and registration. The Project is awaiting credit issuance, expected on or about September 2023.
As a reminder, the Project is located in the Gran Chaco Forest in Paraguay, the second-largest forest in South America, behind only the Amazon rainforest, and will initially seek to conserve approximately 32,000 hectares (79,000 acres). Given the location and scope of the Project, it has also received gold level distinction under the Climate, Community, and Biodiversity (“CCB”) from Verra for exceptional biodiversity benefits.
