This post serves to provide an explanation regarding the recent Council Motion 106 and Council Motion 107. Neither of these motions required an on-chain voting process.
Explanation:
The keys used for relayers running Chainbridge had need been updated for over a year. For this reason, the council motion rotated these keys, to improve security of the Centrifuge <> Ethereum bridge.
For security reasons, the Chainbridge configuration change necessitates the participation of 75% of council members, equivalent to 7 out of 9 council members.
Due to these security considerations, the Council Motion was not announced on the forum until after its effective execution.
