# Vote Passed: Extending the Validator Set from 15 to 18

The Centrifuge Chain Council put forth a fast track vote yesterday to extend the validator set size from 15 to 18. **The vote passed!**

There is currently 1 new validator that has joined the active set - @inchainworks! You can read more about them [in their introduction here](https://gov.centrifuge.io/t/validator-introduction-inchainworks/50).

If you are interested in spinning up a new validator, there is now space to join the active set!
