It makes sense to deprecate the Altair chain for the reasons shared. I’ll personally be surprised if anyone / any party wants to take over managing it. However, I have deep concerns about what becomes of the AIR token. There are many people / groups who have invested into the token for a variety of reasons. What do you foresee becoming of the AIR token @jeroen? I’ll share this RFC which I posted months ago about the topic. > [@RFC: AIR to CFG Token Swap Post-Migration](https://gov.centrifuge.io/t/rfc-air-to-cfg-token-swap-post-migration/6811): > > Short summary: Provide the opportunity for AIR token holders to swap their AIR to CFG post migration to EVM. High-level objective: Altair contributors, supporters participants, and token holders should be taken into consideration with the impending migration of Centrifuge to EVM. This proposal aims to allow AIR token holders the ability to swap to CFG post EVM migration at a predetermined and fair rate. Background: With the successful passing of [CP141](https://voting.opensquare.io/space/centrifuge/proposal/QmRvXLc9wGtMXrBcBkJekyR2vcN8ToAXqXWX5xHvR4XfF7) and the current proposal of [CP149](https://gov.centrifuge.io/t/cp149-migration-of-centrifuge-governance-token-cfg-to-evm/6810), Centrif… If the Altair chain is set to be deprecated, it is only fair we come up with a reasonable plan for AIR token holders to migrate their tokens to EVM as CFG with a respectable exchange rate. --- _[View the full topic](https://gov.centrifuge.io/t/deprecating-altair-chain/7013)._
