Good day Community 🙌

This post serves to provide an explanation regarding the recent [Council Motion 106](https://centrifuge.subsquare.io/council/motions/106) and [Council Motion 107](https://centrifuge.subsquare.io/council/motions/107). Neither of these motions required an on-chain voting process.

_ **Explanation** :_

> The keys used for relayers running Chainbridge had need been updated for over a year. For this reason, the council motion rotated these keys, to improve security of the Centrifuge \<\> Ethereum bridge.

For security reasons, the Chainbridge configuration change necessitates the participation of 75% of council members, equivalent to 7 out of 9 council members.

Due to these security considerations, the Council Motion was not announced on the forum until after its effective execution.
